Ayuna Shagdurova (b.1996) is a documentary photographer and journalist based in Germany. She is Buryat (indigenous Siberian), born and raised in St Petersburg, Russia. In her work she mostly concentrates on Buryat society and culture, shooting Buddhist and shamanic rituals, rural Buryatia and everyday life. She also works with independent Russian media and foreign media as a freelance photographer. In 2023 she participated in Foundry photojournalism workshop (with VII academy). In July 2024 she was selected for Magnum agency portfolio review during Arles photo festival. In October 2024 she participated in the Hamburg Portfolio Review.
