The exhibition The Other Expression explores phenomena that go beyond the collection of everyday, familiar articulations of being and acting in the world. It offers a space for reflection on the individual relationship with the Other and the attitude towards Otherness. In the space of encountering the everyday with the unknown, what emotions and thoughts accompany this experience? What reactions are aroused by the meeting with what transgresses the norm, what eludes and overwhelms? The exhibition showcases artworks by students from the Faculties of Painting and Media Art, Photography and Experimental Film of the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The featured works deal with the subject of expression of people belonging to marginalized groups, touch on experiences resulting from the encounter with different, unfamiliar spaces and the perception of the Otherness in a direct contact.
